Workflow: Ground Operation Planning

Step 1: Establish the AO

  1. Draw Area of Operations boundary
  2. Add internal boundaries (phases, sectors)
  3. Define objectives with designators
  4. Mark assembly areas

Step 2: Plan Movement

  1. Create axes of advance (main, supporting)
  2. Add phase lines for coordination
  3. Mark line of departure
  4. Define limit of advance

Step 3: Add Fire Support

  1. Place target reference points
  2. Draw fire support coordination lines
  3. Mark no-fire areas
  4. Create artillery range fans

Step 4: Review and Export

  1. Verify all graphics are labeled
  2. Check for gaps in boundaries
  3. Export as overlay package
  4. Share with subordinate units

Workflow: UAV Mission Planning

Step 1: Define the Mission

  1. Select mission type (recon, survey, ISR)
  2. Define target area or route
  3. Set altitude constraints
  4. Determine time-on-target

Step 2: Create the Flight Plan

  1. Place takeoff and landing waypoints
  2. Add mission waypoints
  3. Configure loiter patterns if needed
  4. Set speed and altitude per leg

Step 3: Add Safety Measures

  1. Draw geofence boundary
  2. Configure lost-link actions
  3. Set battery/fuel reserves
  4. Define contingency waypoints

Step 4: Validate and Upload

  1. Review terrain avoidance
  2. Check for airspace conflicts
